Amazing Tomatoes

Scientists have finally figured out the genome for the tomato. Now we can fully see all the specifics in the genome, and we hopefully use this information to learn more and more about other genomes of plants and make advancements in medicine. The tomatoes have some 35,000 genes and 12 chromosomes. Scientists believe they can  figure out the evolution of the tomato. Some of the genes have implications similar to strawberries and other fruits.
