Good Things Come in Small Packages

A recent study at the University of Duke has shown that when it comes to the viscous zone smaller is better. Scientists have discovered that the smaller the size of catalyst the faster the reaction will be. This means that the energy will be greater. Scientists discovered that the area to volume ratio is more important then they originally thought.  In their experiments they used carbon nano-tubes. They developed a method of measuring not only the lengths of the growing carbon but also the diameters of the growing carbon. The team believes that their findings apply not only to their tests but also to every other catalyst.

This new finding has opened a whole new area of study. This new finding will hopefully still be pursued. This could potentially help scientists to find a better form of energy. To read the full article click here.
