Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico Nears the Coast

It was Thursday night on which there was an oil spill. It spread to just 5 km from the coast. Many efforts are being made to help plug the hole in the ground to stop it from spilling even more into the ocean.  Researchers are unsure as to how to plug the hole at the moment considering the fact the the hole is a mile from the surface of the ocean. What happened was, they were drilling a hole to the ocean and a fire occurred on top of the drill. This caused the drill to sink into the ocean and the oil came out spreading into the ocean.

This is a serious problem because it is going to effect the animals and environment in that area. Understand that efforts are being made and researchers are coming up with new idea at the moment to try and figure out how to stop the spill.
