Birds Attack Together

May 6th, 2010 by rosenbbs · No Comments · Physics

Research has found that smaller birds of the same feather attack together in an organized fashion. A particular study showed that a dozen birds flew in elliptical patterns and at least one was attacking (upon a stuffed hawk). They were constantly changing speeds and angles in a highly coordinated fashion. The birds attack with such good timing to avoid capture by the predator. The research is relevant for robotics. I think it is extraordinary at how the birds work in an organized chaotic fashion. It is a way for them to survive and be able to reproduce. God certainly knew what he was doing in creating them and how they worked. This shows that working as a team gets the job done well and effective.
