When The Universe Was a Child

The Hubble telescope has been taking pictures of deep space for 19 years. A new tool called the WFC3 is being used in the telescope to take better pictures. This camera takes pictures using visible, ultraviolet, and infrared light. This camera takes pictures of galaxies that appear as old as 13 billion years. The light from these galaxies takes a very long time to reach the earth so when we see these galaxies, we see how they would have looked millions or even billions of years ago. Only a very small  portion of the universe has been explored so there is many more discoveries to make.

The technology of this new camera will help us study further and further into our universe. The more we study galaxies the more understanding we will have of our universe. We are making more and more advancements in technology to help us discover more about the universe we inhabit.

I think it is amazing that we can see so far out into the universe with the technology that we have in the 21st century. We can see so far that even light takes millions of years to travel to earth. It is amazing that God made the universe how it is. I can’t wait to see what kind of technology we will be able to use in the future.
