The idea is becoming reality. Experimentalists at Oxford University and other top physics-universities are working together to keep the “mini” black holes out of the LHC (Large Hadron Collider). Although these so called black holes (which by the way only last one octillionth of a nanosecond) are tiny and almost non-existent, they are still hotter that the core of the sun. The core of the sun is about 15 million degrees Kelvin. However, it has been estimated that to even come close to the degree of a mini black hole, you would need to add another 42 zeros; which is unfathomable to most human minds.
I think this is important because if they are creating this in a particle accelerator, imagine if something wrong happens. We would be desecrated within seconds. Read the article here.
