Biology of the Sharks

November 30th, 2009 by dyrssewc · No Comments · Biology

Of everything interesting about sharks, their behavior is the most fascinating.  Sharks experience sight, touch, taste, smell, sound and other senses completely different from humans.  Most creatures of the sea are somewhat the same, but sharks are known to be relatively different in all their abilities, besides swimming and breathing.  It has been found that sharks cannot smell from great distances, but what they can do is sense extremely tiny quantities of dissolved chemicals 400 meters away from themselves.

It was great to know all these interesting facts about sharks, but the article I chose was extremely hard to follow.  Scientists are studying thoroughly on these topics and are trying to find answers to the very interesting life of sharks.  If you would like to visit the article click here.
