Bladeless Fans

New Bladeless Fan

Dyson's Bladeless Fan

James Dyson, inventor of new and unique vacuum cleaners, has invented a fan that doesn’t make use of blades. Normal fans use blades to move air around, but this new fan uses a different principle. It pulls air into the base using a motor and forces it out of a slit in the ring of the fan. The air then goes into a “loop amplifier” which accelerates the air, causing a breeze.

This fan is a step towards improving safety of everyday objects becauseĀ it doesn’t have blades to hurt fingers. This reinforces safety and may move other inventors to make safer household products. Also, it emphasizes the fact that there is always room for improvement in other objects well established in society.

I think the article was just an ad to put the fan out there. It didnt have any facts about the fan and it left out crucial details about it. It still has a fan in it you just can see the blades and by what the articles says it sounds like it might be louder than a fan with blades. In the article it also says that it will be easier to clean but I believe it will be harder in the long run because it will collect dirt and dust in smaller unseen places and therefore be harder to clean later on. Its great for those with children but I don’t think anyone is willing to pay that much for fan when its free to just be a parent and watch your children.
