Low-cost Materials For Capturing Solar Energy

June 4th, 2009 by walkertd · No Comments · Chemistry

The cost of making renewable energies is extremely expensive  and is something scientist have been trying to find other resources that are cheaper but still are effective. Solar panels are one of the main things the are trying to make cheaper and more efficient. Jaume I, Teodor Krassimirov is aiming to make this possible. ” he proposes the use of more economic synthesis methods using sulfur-based compounds (chalcopyrites) as an alternative to the ones used up until now.”

Solar energy is one of the most important energies in our society.  Solar energy is the cleanest and eco-friendly energy that is strongly needed, but with the price of solar panels many people can not purchase these things. Scientists are looking in to making this energy more open and less expensive. This will be a break through in technology if scientists can produce this more efficient way.
