Why is grass green?

February 24th, 2009 by romeromn · No Comments · Biology

What a typical question right? Why is any color anything? Why is the sky blue in the afternoon, why is snow white, why is the ocean blue, why is dirt brown and so on. The most intresting answer i had gotten was why grass is green. Grass is green because it is filled with chlorophyll which is used in photosynthesis and plants produces sugar in the presence of sunlight.
