“Green Gasoline” is a second generation biofuel, also known as cellulosic gasoline, that is derived from non-food plants and agricultural waste. The first generation biofuels that scientists were working on creating came with many concerns for society[Such as incompatability and lower energy]. But the Green Gas that is being developed, is said to put an end to those concerns and provide gasoline, deisel, and jet fuel from these non-food plants. Read more about the article here.

Anyone living in Southern California could vouch for the fact that gas is EXPENSIVE. Many people have started to walk more places just to conserve money, so they don’t have to spend it on gas for their cars. Apparently with this new Green Gas, the problems with the lack of regular gasoline will be less prominent. The problems with our gasoline situation won’t competely disappear, but they will be easier to handle when we have this substitution for our regualr gas. Even with all the hybrid cars coming out, we will still need high energy gasoline for planes and boats and trucks in the future, but for now, this Green Gas is certainly going to be a helpful thing. The Green Gas should also be better for the environment since it’s made out of plants and agricultural waste, and that’s also a plus. I’m all for doing my part to help save our enviornment. :)
