Drug May Cut Tremors Associated With Parkinson’s

There is a new drug out there that is capable of helping people with Parkinson’s disease out. It battles the tics and tremors they have when their medications stops working. This drug is called istradfeylline. Istradfeylline helps nerve and brain signals avoid the damaged dopamine system in the brain that leads to Parkinson’s. There was a study made of 395 people with Parkinson’s that took istradfeylline while on levodopa, a drug for Parkinson’s, had 24 percent off time. Which means that they hardly experienced the tremors as they used to.

This article that I have found is pretty extraordinary if you ask me! It amazes me everyday that there are new things discovered everyday. This drug that is able to help people that suffer from Parkinson’s disease out after their prescribed medication wears off. The study that was taken proves that istradfeylline is a successful add-on therapy to patients. This is truly amazing!
