Caffeine the best of it the worst of it.

Coffee. Cola. Tea.  What do all of these drinks have in common?  They all contain caffeine.  Caffeine is a chemical filled with tons of sugar particles.  Many adults have coffee in the morning to help them wake up.  Scientist have proven that caffeine helps people react quicker and even run longer.  Scientist also found out that caffeinated coffee and tea can help protect the heart, brain, and other organs from disease.  On the other hand caffeinated drinks can also be the worst for you.  A 2003 survey of more than 200 students in grades 7-9 found that kids who drank a 16-ounce bottle of cola slept less, woke up more often, and felt more tired the next day than kids who drank less caffeine. This is very bad for you because sleeping is an important part of staying healthy.  Caffeine also raises blood pressure and makes you feel more stressed out.

Check out my cool article about caffeine

This article has changed my views on caffeinated drinks.  I didn’t think that so much would affect my body just by drinking a Pepsi or a Coke.  Even coffee in the morning is bad for you, it may have its positives about it but in my opinion I think all caffeinated drinks are bad.

As a fan of coffee and soda this article really caught my eye. I have always been told that caffeine is bad for me but to actually read that there is some good in caffeine shocked me. Reading this article has really changed my view on drinking substances with caffeine. Even though we can argue saying that its good for your brain and heart the bad hurts you the most.

Another point about caffeine is that its really addictive. Manufactures put this chemical in there drinks so they can gain buisness and the buyers are stuck in the middle of this process. Once your addicted to soda and coffee its really hard to stop so be careful on how you use caffeine. Having it once in a while is alright but once you make it a daily routine then its actually hard to stop drinking and buying it.

Caffeine in moderation is not bad. Increased reaction time, being awake and being able to stay awake during the day are pluses. Although some people don’t think so caffeine is a drug, and with all drugs come side effects, the feeling of necessity is a main effect of caffeine. “Energy drinks” and other drinks also propose problems of the serious nature. Heart palpitations and addiction, damaged nervous systems and stomach ulcers can occur. So though caffeine helps get you going, think of how its going to bring you to a crashing halt later. :|
