We build lives on the Christian values of love, respect, faithfulness, and service to others through a program of excellence in education in academics, athletics, and the arts.  We do this to train the next generation of Christian church and world leaders all to the glory of God.

CLHS Physics...To The Moon PDF Print E-mail

Forty years ago this summer, Neil Armstrong became the first man to set foot on the moon. A few years later in 1972, Gene Cernan was the last man to walk on the moon. All of our students know that man has been to the moon, but most know little about what it took to get us there. For the past five years, the CLHS physics classes have been trying to change this. Through historical footage and Internet sources our students learn the history, physics, and engineering that were required to get man to the moon in about 10 years from start to finish.

As a culminating project, physics students have put together a wiki site that shares information and resources about America's quest for the moon. Take some time to check it out at to-the-moon.wikispaces.com. We think you'll learn quite a bit. Our students sure did!
